Volunteer Call for "Walk and Wheel" Event: Join the Fun and Celebrate Inclusivity!

Event: "Walk and Wheel" - a fun and inclusive event for families with disabilities and long-term health conditions, as part of the "This is South Tyneside Festival 2024 - Parade"
Join us! We are seeking volunteers to help make this special event a success. As a volunteer, you will walk or wheel with us in the parade creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for families with disabilities and long-term health conditions to come together and enjoy the fresh air, have fun, and be part of a larger community celebration.
Our Goals
Encourage families to get out and about, promoting physical activity and social connections
Celebrate our company values of connectivity, diversity, and inclusivity
Raise awareness about the importance of respite holidays for individuals with disabilities and long-term health conditions
As a volunteer, you will
Get dressed up as a butterfly, or have something that resembles a butterfly on your person
Walk or wheel with us at the parade
Have fun!

Decorate a Butterfly - win an Accessible Holiday!
How to Enter:
Decorate a Butterfly: Get creative and decorate a butterfly with paint, markers, glitter, or any other craft materials you like. You can be as creative as you want!
Make a Minimum £1 Donation: To enter our competition, please make a minimum donation of £1 to our organisation. You can donate online using the link below or in person at any of our events (proof of donation is required).
Return completed butterflies to New Springs City Church (130 Fulwell Rd, Roker, Sunderland SR6 9QR) either by post or in person to enjoy a cup of tea and learn more about what we can offer you and your family!
Competition Details:
The competition is open to anyone who makes a minimum donation of £1 to our organisation and they or a member of their family have a disability or long-term health condition.
The winner will receive a free accessible holiday, kindly donated by Tailored Leisure.
The competition will close on 29th June 2024 and the winner will be announced shortly after.
The winner will be chosen randomly from all eligible entries.
